Providence Housing Development Corporation and the parish of St. Salome have removed vacant structures from the church grounds and have built 45 new apartments on a campus like setting in the Town of Irondequoit. The new apartments are a mix of one and two bedrooms and are home to residents at least 55 years old. Some of the apartments are in patio homes and others are in a new two-story building. Permanent financing is provided by Monroe County, the Town of Irondequoit, New York State and tax credit equity. The Greater Rochester Housing Partnership provided a construction loan of $3,600,000.
